Please note that e-bikes may only be returned to stations in Lucerne.
REGISTRATION
Registration is free of charge. In order to verify your account, a 1 CHF deposit is required and will become nextbike credit to use later on.
RENTAL
Simply scan the QR Code on the bike with the nextbike by TIER app and the FrameLock will open automatically.
PARKING MODE
Do you want to park your bike during a rental? First activate the park mode in the app and then press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike.
RETURN
Return your bike at any official nextbike station in Central Switzerland, your ebike to any station in Lucerne and press the FrameLock lever down to lock the bike. If you return your bike outside of an station, a service fee of at least CHF20 for bikes and CHF25 for ebikes will be charged.

Our tariffs
You can rent up to four bikes with one customer account. Special rates are usually only valid for the first bike and not for e-bikes (exception for the 3-day rate). E-bikes may only be returned to stations within the city of Lucerne. You can change the tariff in your account settings. Get more information on how to enjoy Special Rates.
Classic Bike
2 CHF/30 min
After the first 30 minutes, you will continue to be charged CHF 1 every 15 minutes. You pay a maximum of 20 CHF/24 h per rental.
E-Bike
4 CHF/30 min
After the first 30 minutes, you will continue to be charged CHF 2 every 15 minutes. You pay a maximum of 40 CHF/24 h per rental.
Classic Bike
0 CHF/30 min
For residents of municipalities belonging to the system. More about the special rate.
The first 30 minutes are free. Afterwards you will continue to be charged 1 CHF every 15 minutes. You pay a maximum of 20 CHF/24 h per rental.
3-day rate
40 CHF/3 days
4h free ride per day, divisible into multiple rentals. After exceeding the 4h free ride per day, the basic rate per bike type applies.
The conditions apply to up to two simultaneous rentals (both classic bikes and e-bikes).
